KCSM's Leslie Stoval has passed

One of the sadder (and odder) things I've noticed is that all week, each KCSM host has saluted Ms. Stoval once per shift -- but each time, they've been reading, word-for-word, the tribute the station posted on Facebook, which is posted at the top of this thread. Really? No ad-libbing allowed? I mean, most of these folks knew her personally, surely they should be allowed to make personal, heartfelt observations, no? Kinda struck me as strange.

Tacking this onto an already KCSM-related thread: the station announced that longtime hosts Dick Conte and Michael Burman have announced their retirements.
Interesting: Conte now says he and Burman were forced to leave.

Their departure did seem... abrupt. I get that CalPERS has rules, but if the cap is 960 hours, Conte only works about 260 hrs/yr and Burman roughly twice that.
