Does anyone remember if Chuck Johnson hosted a TV program on KOGO-TV in San Diego during the 1960s? I’m digging into some local broadcast history and could use a lead!

I received a call from Brian White (FM102, KFRC +++), who mentioned the recent conversation about Chuck Johnson, and I wanted to chime in briefly. While working on a research project, I uncovered some details through discussions with Bill Lawrence at the San Diego History Center and Gary Stigall of SBE Chapter 36.
Chuck Johnson did have a television program on KOGO. Moreover, the show was picked up for national syndication by Time-Life. At the time, Time-Life owned KOGO (now KGTV), before its acquisition by McGraw-Hill.
Just wanted to help set the record straight.
(I can speak from experience—he invited me on the show for a micro-second to promote his Rock 95 venture, where I was part of his team.)

For me Don is truly 'Radio Royalty'! Welcome, if you look at the threads on the SF board, we obviously love talking and reminiscing about KFRC (One of the greatest radio stations to ever exist). I bet Don has some wonderful KFRC stories, and hopefully will share them with us!
