Kool -FM 101.5 WRTH-LP

I completely forgot about this little station. The signal is not great where I am located now. (The 107.7 came in well before I moved two years ago.) But I went to the Post Office on Orchard Drive and they were listening to it. So I tuned in in my car. They were running Casey Kasem. And I was shocked that they had Kasem doing station IDs! 😳

Obviously, the syndicator is using AI for that. But it really sounded great!
 
The 107.7 signal on Paris Mountain is terrible. Plenty of static inside Paris Mountain State Park (Lake Placid) probably blocked by the terrain of the Mountain itself. Heard a weak signal on 101.5 there instead. Listen Live Stream on MixCloud hasn't been worked successfully for awhile. Maybe someday they'll upgrade but I do love the station for what it is.

The old 95.3 WWOK used to be up there as well, but I think they were only 1 watt strong, and that didnt quite reach the COL - Downtown Greenville.

Wait. Wait. Seriously? Kasem died in 2014. The station started using the "Kool" moniker in 2019.

Also, from Wikipedia:
WRTH-LP first went on the air as WEZG-LP on July 2, 2014, with a 24-hour mix of songs with "Abigail" as the subject matter.

And:
On June 15, 2014, Kasem died at St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington, at the age of 82.

He died before the station even went in the air!
