Fire At KNX?

A DXer in Illinois was streaming them, heard mention of a fire at their offices/studios and they started recorded program this morning. (Sunday). This was all I could find on it:

A friend says KROQ is in the next studio and could be affected to. I saw nothing on the KNX FB or website, somewhat understandably, if they evacuated

July 27, 2025 8:20 am a fire has been reported at knx radio station in Los Angeles. At approximately 8:15 one of the reporters in the studio said he smelled fire and that they were going off the air, only to play a recorded program as of 825 the record program remains on.

10:27 a.m. Pacific: Normal-sounding traffic report.
10:28 a.m. Pacific: Weather.
10:28 a.m. Crystal Geyser water commercial.
10:29 a.m. Valvoline oil change commercial.
10:29 a.m. Verizon Wireless commercial (targeted to Sacramento, so I'm hearing substituted streaming ads).
10:30 a.m. Lincoln Navigator commercial.
10:30 a.m. Designer Shoe Warehouse commercial.
10:31 a.m. Starbucks commercial.
10:31 a.m. Live newscast at 10:30. Lead story is not fire at KNX, but a box of explosives taken to a fire station last night. Second story is Encino home break-ins. Third story a brush fire in Montecito Heights.

Whatever it was, it must have been minor.

Actually, all of the Audacy stations have relocated to the Wilshire Blvd. building, a few blocks either way from La Brea and Fairfax (a consequence of selling the old KHJ transmitter site at Venice/Fairfax several years ago).

We were evacuated by building management due to a small fire in one of our cluster studios. Nothing major but the smell was getting a bit overwhelming. It was about an hour maybe before the fire department gave the all clear.
