WPLG expands local news after dropping ABC

I checked the website for WPLG Local 10's schedule on Monday August 4th. They have ABC World News Now at 2:30 AM until 4:00 AM, followed by Good Morning America First Look. The rest of the programming guide is updated.
Chances are the technical cutoff for the affiliation agreement may have been extended a bit due to lack of filler for those hours by special arrangement, or it was stated within the final agreement of cutoff time. 4:30 is the official start time for ABC programming on ABC Miami according to TV Passport

The same thing may happen for WANF-TV 46, Atlanta's News First on August 16th when CBS moves to WUPA-TV 69.

I have been looking at the TV listing services (TV Titan, etc.) and see the new WPLG schedule, but have not found ABC Miami. I am looking at the broadcast listings. When do you think they ABC Miami listings will show up under the broadcast schedules?

Some scheduling changes will include:
- Live with Kelly and Mark will move to 11am (replaces The View)
- Local 10 Morning News will be extended from 4am to 11am
- Law and Order: SVU will now air at 1pm (replaces GMA3)
- 48 Hours will now air at 2pm (replaces General Hospital)
- World News Tonight will be replaced by a Local 10 version
- People Puzzler will be on for a full hour at 8pm
- Local 10 is introducing new 9 and 10pm newscasts
- Daytime Jeopardy! will now air at 11:30pm (replaces part of Jimmy Kimmel Live!)
- An overnight rerun of Live with Kelly and Mark will now be on at midnight (replaces the other part of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Nightline)

I would assume they will because the streamers don't negotiate with individual TV stations; they negotiate with networks. If you don't have a network, you won't hear from them, and you can't invoke must carry.
WISH-TV relies on their own streaming because none of the major streamers have any desire to carry it. WANF is going to be in the same boat once CBS goes away.

WPLG is going to have to do something, and something quick, otherwise they are going to be invisible in the digital realm. I cannot imagine Berkshire Hathaway wanting to keep this declining asset any longer than they have to.

Last I heard, they were negotiating with DirectTV stream. I could be wrong. I know they are still on cable but the streaming world is shot

Maybe it's just me, but I see more than just a little resemblance to ABC World News Tonight in their open.

And then there was that throwaway line about not being from some kind of ivory tower in New York...
I really liked the world news show. It does have that network national news feel. I assume it was on purpose.

I think it's a smart move on Medina's part to have created the World News show. A lot of people still wanna know what's going on around the country and the world. Only thing that may be missing for a while is reporters around the country except for Ross and Ben in Washington. That may come later.
