Did KAZG change format?

I don't often listen to pop music on the radio but, when I do, I tune into the KAZG stream for some '60s & '70s hits.

When I did so today (first time in a few months), there's a Frank Sinatra song playing and something about "Golden Oldies".

Did KAZG change format recently?

[Searched but did not find anything relevant with KAZG in the title.]

Does the good @DrAkbar know of this sorcery??

I mean, they played "The Summer Wind" at 9:47 a.m., but everything else makes sense:

And actually, given that today's highs in the area could hit 118---"The Summer Wind" could just have been a blast furnace reference.

Take it from someone who took it (the summer heat) for 27 years.

I sure hope it was just a case of bad timing on my part. KAZG is by far my favorite "classic hits" station. Nothing newer than '79 is just about perfect IMHO.

No. But I sure would have liked to have heard them playing "Summer Wind." While I have the song on CD, it's been a *very, very* long time since I heard it on the radio.

Sinatra's Summer Wind goes back to 1966. So that should make you happy.

An episode of The Simpsons some years back featured the song. . and gave it a second wind (forgive the pun!).
Also featured in "Matchstick Men," a quirky 2003 film starring Nicolas Cage, a personal favorite even if it underperformed at the box office.

..never knew it was by Sinatra. Just thought of Nurse Jeff downing a burrito supreme in our Gremlin during the summer months. I'd roll down the windows, but there are only two and that's no match for the Nurse!

2-65 air conditioning, huh? 🄵

Wait - is the Gremlin capable of hyper-legal speeds like that?

Only downhill. And in Buckeye, that's a tough one!
You could push it up Camelback and then coast it down, but I think Gremlins are prohibited in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.
