July 2025 PPM Ratings

WXYT retains the top spot. A slight gain by WNIC coupled with a slight drop for WOMC has them tied for 2nd. WMXD is steady for 4th and WYCD, despite a slight drop remains in 5th.

WWJ realized a 0.7 drop in share, not unexpected for the season, but they fall below a 4.0 for the first time in recent memory and are at 10th. WJR recovered a bit of share by, at 1.8, still aren't mustering even an anemic 2.0. WDET is down to a 2 share from 2.7 and will now need to weather a loss of some funding.

K-Love continues to gain share and cume.

In fact, 101.9 WDET gets beaten by rival NPR member station 91.7 KUOM, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, 40 miles away. KUOM is grandfathered at 93,000 watts when it should be 20,000 watts on a 725 foot tower. I wonder why KUOM gets more listeners in the Detroit market than Detroit's own NPR member station?

A fair question that I do not have an answer to.
