Fresno / Central Valley KUTM Kerman.

KUTM continues to runs as an undocumented LMA - It's "La Zeta 92.7" as for just a few thousand watts has good coverage into most of Fresno. It can even be heard in Visalia. The station does not stream.
 
They will lose Hanford, and Tulare Co. Why Would they do that? In this situation, better to have adjactent interference with KFSO 92.9, than co-channel with KCRZ, and they have a high transmitter site.

Agreed. This will be a messy zone southside of Fresno for KUTM. This looks like snake oil. I wonder if Momentum can protest this filing - they should!

TEG Broadcasting of Tacoma has filed to move the 94.3 KOKO-FM antenna from the valley site near Kerman to the "westside" transmitter site where KUTM (92.7->104.9) and KBHH (95.3) operate. While the straight F(50,50) plot generates less population from this move, the coverage will be better in Fresno thanks to Longley-Rice. It will be greater than 70 dBu over the city.

Question : Did the TEG Broadcasting to Lotus-Fresno sale for KOKO actually consummate? As mentioned, it is TEG that is filing the engineering paperwork.

As of July 11th, KUTM has been granted a power increase from 5400 watts to 6000 watts and they will remain at 92.7. There have been several applications in the past few months for KUTM with power increases and changes in frequency to both 100.1 and 104.9.

Looks like they have settled to remain on 92.7 which avoids, as RF101 had stated, an absolute mess south of Fresno due to KCRZ overlapping coverage area if KUTM had made the move to 104.9.

The FCC today (8/27) approved the KOKO-FM move to the "Westside" antenna complex where KBHH and KUTM are located. This is northeast of Coalinga. This should be a good move for KOKO as long as they can protect their F(50,50) 45 dBu translator encroachment zone towards Fresno.

It is not unusual for a station sale to be contingent on the current owner applying for changes in facilties that would be attractive for the new owner.

It's rather unusual for the Media Bureau to deny a second extension of consummation. I wonder what factored into that.

And if no consummation has been filed, then the previous grant would be rescinded. The fact that no such action is recorded in LMS could mean the consummation was hurried into place after the denial but it hasn't been recorded yet.

So now we know even less than before, if that's possible.
