Browns re-up with GKB/Audacy

The Browns announced they have re-upped their radio rights with Good Karma's WKNR ESPN 850 and Audacy's WKRK 92.3 The Fan/WNCX 98.5.

As part of the new deal, the team's weekday show on WKNR "Cleveland Browns Daily" moves to afternoon drive, airing from 3-5p, swapping slots with local show "The Next Level" hosted by Emmitt Golden and Je'Rod Cherry, which now airs from 1-3p.

Wow, definitely agree. That kind of sports town and one of the major sports talkers goes national during afternoon rush? Ouch. Not that I would much enjoy listening to Browns state radio either.

They're basically going to be talking Brownies during the afternoon rush hour (in Cleveland the shift changes start at about 3:30 with the hospitals). We are weird like that. By 6 o'clock the commuter traffic is fairly light, compared to the 3:00 to 5:00 period.

Hope the Browns audio is better than the Ohio State audio today…. Sounds like Satellite dropout most of 1st & 2nd Quarter especially during audio peaks…. Westwood one problem, Learfield or ‘KNR getting 5G interference… Normal conversational level passes OK… let’s see what second half brings, checking other affiliates….

It was fine on the flagship down here in Columbus when I was listening. Even the AM and FM home stations here are not immune to audio issues during the network broadcasts though, at least in my experience over the years.
