American Standards/Beautiful Music/Contrypolitan Recommendations

Hi all! Can anyone recommend and stations that specifically play American Standards/Beautiful Music/Countrypolitan? I use to listen to Humbolt101 but the owner has passed and it’s just backup programming now. My second go to station is KYMM but they can be a hit or miss. I’ve listened to some of the stations recommendations in the sub-forum and WEMP and KALB are also good but not great. There are A LOT of easy listening stations listed and I do not like the music or the format.

I really enjoy WGPA but that a whole other animal. They have a good format. I just wish they played more AS/BS. Any other hidden gems out there?

Please do not list any Easy Listening stations.

serenade-radio.com in Britain calls its music "easy listening" but it's very much like adult standards stations in the U.S. used to be. Sinatra, Nat King Cole and the other vocalists, male and female, and choral groups like Ray Conniff, high energy big band, and some instrumentals including "beautiful music" versions and not a lot of repetition because there seems to be a version of every song by every artist. Not a lot of Glen Campbell, Carpenters or John Denver on most shows but they are there. Jim Reeves and similar country artists are included. One DJ plays more AC than the others. Weekends are mostly special shows. No commercials and you're occasionally asked to donate. Lots of talented and friendly DJs. The man in charge has a two-hour daily show but he likes to complain and people like that about him.

The music I described can be heard from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. , 5 to 7 P.M. and 8 to 10 P.M. weekdays and 4 to 6 P.M. Saturday and Sunday (all times Eastern, but the station's web site, social media and all announcements by DJs about what is coming up use British time). From 1 to 2 P.M. weekdays the music leans more instrumental and softer. 7 to 8 A.M. and P.M. are traditional beautiful music, which I know you didn't want.

I’ll check it out. Thank you!

It might help if you define what you mean by Easy Listening. You're asking for stations that play Standards/Beautiful Music/Countrypolitan, which is Easy Listening, yet you don't want to know about EZ listening stations because you don't like the music and format. HUH??? Even going as far as to say WEMP (the definition of EZL) is good, but not great. You have me a bit confused.

i don’t like listening to popular songs that every radio station plays. Why is that so hard for you to understand? I list some examples of what I like. EZ listing is not the same across the board. You’re one of those types that lumps everything together and are very unhelpful.

You only listed a few radio stations and not play lists, or songs, or artists. One of the two stations no longer exists This is a short thread with no specific songs listed.

We can't help someone who won't be more helpful. Provide a list of say at least 10-20 songs that you would like to hear on such a station. Then again, maybe what you're looking for doesn't exist . In that case, just build your own music library.
