Boston 25 News Expansion

Mentioned on Kerry Kavanaugh's facebook page Boston 25 News expands to 3pm Monday to Friday. Why expand to 3pm when they can put the news on Saturdays at 10pm?

And 1pm too. WFXT is going 5am-2pm, 3-7 and 10-11:30pm.

According to TV Guide, they're doing live local news 5 am to 1 pm, 4 pm to 7 pm and 10 pm to 11:35 pm Monday through Friday. Is that not accurate?

Its not. They're also on at 1 and 3pm so it should be 5am-2pm, 3-7, and 10-11:30pm. The station has mentioned the new hours on the Friday prior.

Will Comcast in Bristol County please put WFXT on in HD. Ir looks horribel in SD
I'm still surprised it's carried in this area, when you take into account retransmission consent fees. A cable operator would not want to carry a station that they are forced to black out periodically (assuming this still happens in the present day), especially if they have to pay them.

With NECN simulcasting most of WBTS's newscasts, Comcast subscribers in Bristol County MA do have access to most of Boston's live local newscasts. They're only missing WCVB's 10 PM, and WBTS's 11 am and 11 pm broadcasts. Free streaming apps fill the gap here (and also get you WFXT's local news in HD).
