Assume it is this? ALTAVISION - Olympusat
Rabbitears.info has 27.88 using MPEG-4 while the others are MPEG-2.
Why would they go with “.88” when the other WUTF subchannels are .1 through .4?
On my dinosaur tube tv (w/Insignia digital converter box) it is just "AUDIO ONLY", no picture! Is that because it is MPEG-4?
Correct, the early generations of digital TVs and tuners won’t decode MPEG-4 video. Sets made since ~2012 should be able to receive it.
Same thing in different markets where they are carried. So maybe they can say they are on the -88 instead of say -4 in market A and -6 in market B etc

Although WUTF is an ATSC 1.0 station, there are some services planned for ATSC 3.0 that use the same “.xx” numbering across all their outlets. However these are so-called “pointer channels” on 3.0 that launch an internet stream rather than transmit actual audio and video.
