AI "personalities" coming to music video channel

ROXi, a music channel carried on the free streaming service Nextgen.tv and backed by Sinclair and Gray, will be using AI-generated hosts on its programming. There are assurances that no AI-generated music or musicians will be used, but the human talent that this channel won't be using is concerned.

You can watch music videos in dozens of places. A genuine, relatable real person that viewers can connect and engage with has the power to build and sustain an audience. An AI host is a novelty people will turn on one time to check out and never watch again.

That analysis will depend on if viewers watch the stream for the music played or for its presenters. And we won't know *that* until ratings are released (if they are) for that channel.

Well AI content is popular with a certain demographic but we shall see where this is going. However there are fans of Robin Williams putting out AI content of the late star that one of his family members wanted taken down because of that late stars wishes or likeness and how it wanted to be used and how it went down with whatever Robin Williams team signed when he had movie and TV contracts.

And I hope Sinclair and Gray are smart enough to not have AI personalities of past jocks, especially past famous jocks, on their channel. If they do this, especially without the expressed written permission of the family of those people they are using, here come the lawsuits!
