While I do not have access to daypart numbers, I can report (courtesy of Research Director) that KROQ is #4 in 25-54 overall, tied with KOST for #4 in 18-34, and tied with KIIS for #4 in 18-49.
It's conceivable that all of those overall #4s could lead to being #1 as a specific station in that daypart.
However, stations have claimed to be #1 in one thing or another for decades, with or without confirming data. Since Nielsen doesn't issue ratings on a show-by-show basis, anyone could actually claim what they wrote in that post.
Especially a post targeted at the competition.

Nevertheless, if it had been based on verifiable specific ratings, removal would have been less warranted.
Again, there has been no public release of any ratings to back up their claim, and anyone can say they are #1.
I know this is a silly question, probably just asking for a friend, but does it really matter if the morning show you like is #1?
I thought Ryan Seacrest on KIIS was the highest rated morning show in LA.

Again ... show us the ratings, otherwise it's just conjecture.
It's nice to know they are doing well and less likely to be replaced in the immediate future. According to Klein and Ally themselves, they were very close to being replaced late 2021/early 2022 when Kaplan was still there.
Of course the #1 claim can't be verified by us, but based on the publicly available information the station as a whole seems to be moving upward.
