Search feature is broken?

I haven't been able to use this website's search feature in a good few months. Anyone else having this issue?
What browser are you using. Currently on some boards using the XenForo platform that I'm on are not showing or working properly on Firefox. I was able to log on Edge and made some sucessful searches.

Going to check over at the XenForo site to see if there's a bug or maybe a Firefox update borked something.

I'm using the latest version of Google Chrome on a Galaxy A53. Also have the same issue with my Galaxy Tab A8 running the latest version.

I’ve had the same difficulties with the XenForo search function using Safari on my iPhone or iPad. Very often I will search for terms I know exist in old posts, but nothing comes up. What’s odd is that I can do a Google search and posts as old as 20+ years ago will appear in the results.

You don't actually need to use search to find more threads on this topic, like the one that currently appears two entries below yours in the same forum.

The solution is to use Google with search results limited to this site. For example:
Keywords site:radiodiscussions.com -- or it works in the opposite order too -- site:radiodiscussions.com Keywords

The search function runs really slow for me, if it works, on google chrome

Using Firefox here, and the search function works fine. As far as speed, it has been slow for me for as long as I can remember, but I never complained, assuming the cause was simply a multi-decades large database and perhaps budget/slow server hardware to keep costs manageable.

The database is massive. The site runs on a dedicated server.

As I've said previously, I am not spending time to learn or debug minor issues like this as I'm working on a longterm transition of the site to fully integrate it into RadioInsight with enhanced functionality.

I don't even want to see the size of the DB!🙃

Bet that will be super sweet when the board and the news site are integrated. A few places are dropping XF for either custom solutions or a *cough* *cough* social media platform.

Only 5 GB.

It will be a radio industry social network for those that want that. A straight message board for those that want that.
