KABL Online

Just wondering what happened to the website for KABL Online. It appears to be kaput! The good news is that I found a way to listen online via the'Simple Radio' app. I was hoping to find show information. In the wee hours of Sunday morning, I actually heard a hosted show 'Sunday Sounds' with Trish Bell. It was nice to hear song info given out, even though it was at an unusual time. I really like this tribute station, fun to listen to!

Sounds pretty good. Like stepping back into 1965.
With hints of 1960 (the year KABL launched) and late 90s-early 2000s (when it aired more of a soft AC/Standards format).

The real KABL, when it was still on the air at 960, had a smoother and tighter sound that was very smartly programmed. I forget the name of the guy who did it, but he was fantastically talented.

But it doesn't matter. I'm glad to get anything anymore.

I listened to it for a bit last night, and I think they've been refining it. It sounded better.

The playlist is still a bit wonky sounding, but it's definitely more polished and the imaging is more consistent (or, at least it was during the time I listened).

The processing is the next thing I'd like fixed. The rather heavy compression tends to accentuate the artifacts of not only the tracks themselves, but also those caused by the relatively low bitrate of the stream.
