Denver KSRC flips to Christmas music

Pillar of Fire's contemporary Christian KSRC, Star 101.5, has flipped to Christmas music as of today. This is in line with Pillar's other contemporary Christian stations. The station's website is also offering a free Christmas ornament, available upon request.

This makes KSRC the first Denver-area station to go to the seasonal format, ahead of the traditional leader in Christmas music, Bonneville's KOSI. KOSI will switch to Christmas music on November 13 at a station-sponsored event at the Moxy Hotel in Cherry Creek.

Once KOSI makes its switch, there will be two all-Christmas stations adjacent on the Denver dial...101.1 KOSI and 101.5 KSRC.

Is it all religious Christmas music, or are Santa, Rudolph and Frosty aboard for the ride as well?
Pillar's Christmas flips are usually a mix. WAKW Cincinnati went all-Christmas yesterday. WAWZ in New Jersey waits a few more weeks usually.

This is pretty usual for a Christian Contemporary station during the prime holiday season (Black Friday to Christmas Day). I'd say 60% Christian artists and 40% secular on Positive Life Radio (WA/OR/ID) and KTSY in Boise when they flip. Often, none of the novelty stuff ("I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas") or Santa songs given the format. But "Holly Jolly Christmas" is fair game.
They also won't play Pentatonix, Ariana Grande, or Mariah Carey for the secular mix. Traditional mid-20th-century crooners for the most part. I have never heard "All I Want for Christmas is You" on PLR.
