Cable TV viewing numbers show drastic audience decline

I must be more concerned with my budget, and having no more of a vehicle than I need.

I should also point out, to attempt to get back on-topic here, that my little electric car does not have cable.

The Smart Car! I remember driving one of those a couple times as a car share rental from Car2Go. This was just before the Lyft/Uber thing started . They would be parked all over town to rent for a short drive, and then you just drop it off at your destination. The rental rate was expensive, as they charged by the minute, and San Diego intersections are notorious for the extremely long wait time for your turn at the light. I haven't seen them for years now.

My concern while driving one of those were the lowered odds of surviving an accident while driving in a shoe box. I wasn't sure if the semi trucks could even see me!

Actually, the passenger compartment on these is better than some larger vehicles. Rather than trying to explain it myself, this article is totally accurate:

Not even a jumper?

You can't jump an electric vehicle from a standard 12-volt battery. No point in carrying cables; the only ones I use are at charging stations, attached to the chargers. (I do have a backup charging cable which can be used with a standard AC outlet, but it doubles the time needed to charge.)

Not really shocking given where we are now and this is expected for some time to make YouTube as the main destination on TV’s.

YouTube is experiencing a surge in viewership as older audiences flock to the free video sharing platform to find full-length television shows and movies, according to a report released on Monday.

The report, from Ampere Analytics, said 85 percent of online users are now watching content on YouTube every month, and nearly one in five users are turning to the platform for long-form content like TV episodes and films — a notable shift for a service that once limited uploads to no more than 10 minutes each.

Older viewers between the ages of 35 and 64 years old are driving adoption of YouTube at a breakneck pace, Ampere said. Engagement peaks within that age group, and households that have young children present are also reporting an uptick in time spent on the platform.
