KQTV and NPG St. Joseph stations combining

I'm seeing reports that there are already some job losses as a result. Unlike the earlier proposed outright acqusition, this arrangement doesn't appear to require FCC approval.

Aside from that, I'm sorry, but that video clip comes off like the world's first example of a combined newscast and hostage video. Yeah, I know it's a tiny, tiny market, and one should make allowances for that, but it doesn't look good.

She reads with barely any pauses, like the prompter is moving too fast for her to pause between sentences. I’ve seen better anchors on KYOU, but I don’t know if Kirskville is a smaller market than St. Joe.

I think Kirksville-Ottumwa is bigger, though not by much. Any St. Joe media outlet has to contend with Kansas City options (maybe Omaha in the northern reaches).
