USA Radio News Using AI News Anchors?

I just heard a newscast from USA Radio News and instead of the usual anchor I heard a male voice introduce the segment by saying just, "This is USA Radio News." Anyone else hear this?

I heard an AI weather forecaster during a local break on a Salem station who said his name was "Barry Metric". Really?

That’s no worse than some of the names humans use in such reports. Here in Houston we had a traffic reporter that used the name “Elaine Closure”.

@DToTheJ you really shouldnt post things that require people to log in or create an account to play, which this did for me. use google drive or some such. And after i wetn through all that, theres no audio there

USA Radio's distributor went belly up last spring (Genesis Communications) They eventually re-emerged with Talk Media Network as their distributor, so I'd start there.

There was a great one in Melbourne, Australia years ago.

A new 25,000 seat soccer/rugby stadium was opening, and the announcement was that AAMI (pronounced "Amy"), an insurance company had purchased the naming rights, and the venue was to be called "AAMI Park".

Who did Channel 7 send out as their reporter to announce this news?
