Nielsen Re-Releasing October Houston Book to include KESS-FM

"Nielsen Audio audience estimates for KESS-FM were inadvertently omitted from the October 2025 Houston-Galveston Radio Market Report. Nielsen is releasing a revised October 2025 Houston-Galveston Radio Market Report on Thursday, November 13th, at 12:00 PM local market time, with this station included."

The story here is not whether KESS-FM shows well or not, but that Nielsen did not include a registered and encoded client station in the book.

It's definitely not the first time Nielsen has left stations out of the book, although I don't know if it's happened in this market before. Great way to make your customer feel valued, or even noticed, in any case. Oh well, where else can they go? That's what you get with a monopoly.

I think a fair question is how can anyone trust what Nielsen publishes when they can't even manage to include all the paid subscribers in the book? If there's not enough quality control to catch a major error like that, what else is getting past them?
