Hot 97 Funk Flex Exits

Funkmaster Flex posted his Labor Day show ("Last 7pm Show") on YouTube: DJ FUNK FLEX
I visit NYC every few years since the 1990s. I always look forward to listening to Hot 97 with Funkmaster Flex, along with listening to Kool DJ Red Alert on 98.7 Kiss FM every time I visit, because as someone who grew up in Florida (but born in NYC & still have family there), these stations were the only place I could listen to this kind of hip hop on the radio. I have all of his "60 Minutes Of Funk" albums, including "The Tunnel", along with his singles. This is the kind of hip hop that he should be playing daily, in my opinion. Respect & congrats to Funk Flex on his new time slot.
thanks for posting the youtube!

I know it’s been a few months since this thread was posted but I was shocked to learn about Flex was being moved around at the station. I don’t live in New York but I listen to Hot 97 on my iPhone and I must say that the station has changed over the past couple years it doesn’t have that New York feel anymore. Hell, remember back in the 2010’s they started to lean Rhythmic like then sister station Power 106 in LA where I live. Those stations were the ones that put hip hop on the map during the 90’s.
