Kim Khazei has left WHDH as of November. Her replacement has been named and it's an internal promotion. Jadia n Thompson will fill the seat next to Adam Williams.
Maybe the anchors get a half hour meal break when they're not on air.Is there a reason why WHDH has operated with different anchor pairs at the "top" and "bottom" of the 5 PM and 6 PM hours? Does the station consider 5:00-5:30 PM and 6:00-6:30 PM to be more "premium" than 5:30-6:00 and 6:30-7:00? Conversely, is there something "second rate" about the 5:30-6:00 and 6:30-7:00 PM half hours?
In a world where you can get the news online 24/7/365, I don't understand why a news station would want different anchor pairs in 2 "middle subsections" of a 3-hour news block (from 4 to 7 PM). It makes no sense to me!

What point are the (Sunbeam) stations trying to make with this setup?Look at WSVN (my go-to station since 2005)—same setup since 2006 when 4pm news was introduced there.
If it ain't broke... don't fix it!
I don’t think there is a point trying to be made. They likely do it because they simply have the staff to do it, or there was research done about certain anchors getting more viewers at specific time. What point are the (Sunbeam) stations trying to make with this setup?
