UT has laid off the GM who would oversee all of Texas and AZ. He had been with the company 25+ years. Other Managers have also been laid off. Other cuts to follow. They (UT) do have the history of doing this right before Christmas.
TelevisaUnivision is an eight syllable mouthful; I usually use “TU”.Why would the University of Texas have a GM that oversee Arizona. What company are you referring to as there is none that abbreviates to UT?
Edit: I'm assuming you're referring to TelevisaUnivision, which @davideduardo already posted about the GM's being cut a couple days ago but nobody here would identify them as "UT"

All local GMs are gone; there is just an "East", "Central" and "West" manager for TU radio and TV.I just back from vacation and just heard about my friend of many years , Mr Masepohl was part of the changes. Not sure what next but we must continue on.
And UT “LOL” cut all the GMs. All four of them i heard.
Guessing they will have no idea what is going on in the local markets. Miami and NYC won't understand what Houston needs. All local GMs are gone; there is just an "East", "Central" and "West" manager for TU radio and TV.
And Houston will not be under the same regional manager as NYC and Miami. Three zones… East, Central and West.Guessing they will have no idea what is going on in the local markets. Miami and NYC won't understand what Houston needs.
This is the first reversal of a top level management decision I have ever seen from UVN.Mark Masepohl is now the Central Regional Head of Local Media Content & Operations
This is great news for me. Several other changes were done too. Very surprising how this all turned around.
