Classic Country launches on WBAP-FM HD-2

To Listen Live online (Cumulus is using the old "KLIF-FM Hot 93.3" player links):

HOT 93.3 (disable ad blocker to enable stream starting)

or Hot 93.3

Direct streaming addresses:

48 kbps 44.1 kHz AAC Stereo: >http://playerservices.streamtheworld.com/api/livestream-redirect/KLIFFMAAC.aac<
(copy + paste between arrows - only for media player input)

80 kbps 22.05 kHz MP3 Stereo: >http://playerservices.streamtheworld.com/api/livestream-redirect/KLIFFM.mp3<
Are those links supposed to be to the classic country stream? All I'm hearing is the main CHR format on the player. What am I doing wrong?

More puzzling is that the 93.3 main is a simulcast of the news talk format provided by 820 now. "Hot" has been missing from OTA for awhile.

The CHR feed really shouldn't even exist.

I just checked again now as I post (just before 10:30am Central Time) - it's playing "Country Legends...93.3 HD2" for me
as it was at the time of my previous post at 5:02am Central Time (I'm posting from SoCal, btw).

If I had to guess, it's possible the stream ran the previous CHR format's morning show or
there was a temporary "switchover" while @CTListener was tuning in around 6:30am Central Time.

It's fair to say that the setup may be temporary and subject to change without notice.

Not as of this posting - there were no website links provided in any articles or even in the Cumulus Media press release.

I came up with the streaming link by testing the old links I had saved from the previous formats.

That was my first thought too... but out of all of Cumulus' signals that one is probably the most ill-suited for the classic country format.

My first thought was, "Maybe one of the two or three people with HD radios will listen." I also agree that would be the least suitable signal for a classic country format. Even 1310 might be better for classic country.

Do they have a website where I can listen live with a full playlist?

I don't think so. Unless the Hot 93.3 stream on TuneIn carries its programming, it's not on any of the major content aggregator apps yet either.

I have the HD locked in, due to enhanced conditions this morning, for WBAP-FM, and I hear 820 WBAP on the primary, and dead air on the HD-2. This is as of now, at 12:30ish CDT.

QTH is currently Mineola, Texas.

Could be. I only listened to one song, which definitely wasn't country, just to make sure I hadn't tuned in in the middle of a promo or other extraneous programming element.

Ugh.. more sad radio changes in Dallas Ft Worth. For a market of millions upon millions of people. It is extremely sad. Some of us don’t stream and there is nothing but crap radio here. Go to markets like Chicago, LA, Miami, NY, Boston and you get a lot better variety of stations. Here, talk, Hispanic, more talk, and really nothing else. It’s sad.

I live in Mckinney and the signal keeps going in and out.
