Gray wants to move WSHM-LD to Boston

Gray Television has applied to move WSHM-LD from Springfield to Boston. The station currently calls itself CBS 3. I'm guessing if the move is approved, CBS 3 will be on a WGGB 40 sub-channel. Until the mid or late 90s, sister station WFSB-3 in Hartford was the Springfield CBS affiliate.

Link to application includes a PDF file - https://enterpriseefiling.fcc.gov/dataentry/public/tv/draftCopy.html?displayType=html&appKey=25076f919b26da64019b2e1144e127e6&id=25076f919b26da64019b2e1144e127e6&goBack=N

Gray seems to be getting creative this year to create new stations in new markets. The acquired KCBU Price UT in a swap and files an application to convert it to a DTS operation that creates an in-metro signal. Now, they are trying to create a new Boston TV station. All the main English and Spanish-language TV networks have affiliates in both markets, so I wonder what they plan to do with them.

Probably starting more of their "Entertainment Sports Networks" that have been somewhat successful.

I thought 80 miles was too far to allow an LPTV to "hop" in a single move.
The application is filed as a major modification rather than a minor one.
