CBS Weekend News Roundup ending

Listening to CBS Weekend World News Roundup on the radio and host (Allison Keyes) started show by saying this will be their final show and thanked viewers for listening over the years. Sad this is going off the air but hope this only applies to weekly show.

According to wikepedia the daily show debuted in 1938 and is America's longest running network newscast on radio or TV.

Actually the weekend show debuted in 2000, so its much younger. The format is different from the daily show.

In Chicago, WBBM carried it after midnight. This is a 50-minute wrapup of the week, not the 10-minute morning drive newscast. Was always a good listen.
