Does anyone have any info on this station? I see their phone number is not working when I called. Has anyone listened? Are they on the air?
 
In the past I’ve been able to receive KLOT-LP at the Prasek’s Family Smokehouse in Sealy, but haven’t checked 107.7 when there recently. Perhaps someone driving I-10 in that area can check.

This is owned by the guy who once went to battle with Roy Henderson and got his clock cleaned, right? Good to see he dusted himself off and got his own broadcast going for Austin County.

Isn’t KLOT run by the same person who operated the old “Cat-AM 580” carrier current station in Cat Spring? That would have been maybe 15 to 20 years ago; got a lot of discussion at the time on these boards. Or do I too have people mixed up?
 
Not the same guy. I've known the guy over 30 years.

He quit having anything to do with me when he was upset I wouldn't sell underwriting for him at the time he was 100% music and liners with a British voice doing all the liners. He said I was to tell businesses KLOT was all about Austin County and I countered there were no community announcements and weather or anything local on the air, so I couldn't lie to business owners. He was so upset to this day he's refused to communicate with me. He said community announcements and weather was too much work. His lack of knowldge about radio made me wonder if he's still around.

Ha! Remember Bruce? I wonder how he's loving life with all of those translators running wild down there? He used to constantly blow a gasket over his perceived notion that KEYH was intentionally jamming his ability to DX KONO. He's likely had several aneurisms over what y'all have said has been going on down there since we last laid eyes on any Bruce Carter musings.

When tropos is really strong to the SW I’ll pick up this station about 60 miles away. I actually picked them up just the other night when I was getting Reynosa. They do have RDS. Never listened long enough to know what was playing but it was music and I’ll hear an older man say KLOT in between songs.
