Palm Beaches Does anyone know what Radio Insight is talking about here?

You need to be a subscriber to Radio Insight to see that information on the Radio Insight website.

If you are a radio station licensee or asking on behalf of a licensee, please consider that many of us here earn a living by providing information and recommendations. You could subscribe to Radio Insight, or hire an engineering consultant and/or communications attorney to know more.

Answering many questions asked here is a professional service.
 
I know what RadioInsight is talking about :)

Our premium subscription features (just $5 per month) are what keep RadioInsight (and soon this site) financially viable. We've kept the same price since the feature's launch in 2015 and have no intent of changing it.

While I know someone here will likely post the change and give you what you're asking for, we do ask that if interested in helping to keep RadioInsight and RadioDiscussions alive, that $5 subscription is what mostly finances these sites.
 
Not to single out RadioInsight, but I get some what annoyed at the many, many newsletters that charge for republishing press releases.

Can you care to point out one press release on RadioInsight that has ever been paywalled? The majority of our content is original reporting, which other publications are then putting into ChatGPT to rewrite as their own.

The only content we provide in our premium content is exclusive data such as the domain reports and FCC reports.
 
If I have stepped on some toes, I apologize. There are so many sights that I go to that are pay-walled. When I do a Google search on the article I find the press release that is almost word for word what I could see from the pay-walled site. From the early days of the public Internet, back when it was all text and you had to use search engines like Jug Head and Veronica, everything was free. As the Internet matured, more and more sites became pay-walled. While I realize these sites need to al least been self supporting, it is difficult to take away something that was free. An example is what has happed to the CNN site.

Again, I apologize if I have mis-stated and/or offended.

My subscription for the next year was the best $50 I’ve spent so far this year.

Its not that you offended, its what you say is not factual... Only one radio industry news publication paywalls everything. And while many of them just publish the press releases they receive word for word, I DO NOT! I add missing information or report on things that no release was sent for and reach out for information (which in many cases those will then rewrite using AI)... But please don't lump all news sites in as one.

If it's in the FCC Report, it's public information, and you can search it. It's a bit of work, but you can pull up applications and see who's doing what.

(And, yes, Radioinsight is a great source at a reasonable price that does that work for you and bundles it up in an easy-to-read manner.)
