Northwest Arkansas John Brown Univ. Adds Fort Smith Class C3

Station Sales Week Of 1/2

Almost missed this over the New Years weekend. KLRC adds strong coverage of Fort Smith to their staple of stations. They already have a partial market translator in Fort Smith. I wonder if K266BS flips to their Real-FM format?

Something else to keep in mind is that Bill Pharis will turn 78 in a few months. I've been told he would be interested in retiring, and his kids don't have much interest in running radio stations. I have to wonder if this might be the first domino to fall. I also know at least one other cluster in the area is being shopped. It could be combined with the Pharis cluster if one FM is divested.
