Yeah, heard that somewhere too, can't remember where. Maybe it was when I talked with the phone screener there a few weeks ago, maybe it was the interview I saw with the morning hosts, maybe it was up here, as in on this site.

@Josh Owens I sent a warning to the post in question. Multiple posters have reported your comments because of your posting of bible quotes that take up 3/4 of your message and just as we do not allow for posting of topics regarding personal political beliefs, the same holds for religion. We look at RadioDiscussions as a place for people to come together to discuss the media industry without having to be preached to regarding politics, religion etc.

Your podcast link in the signature is acceptable. The scripture quotes are not.
 
Sir, I did not see the warning of which you spoke. As I said in another thread, I'm still learning my way 'round here. I submit the content of a Conversation had via the forum between another user and myself, entitled Just a suggestion, as the reasoning of my signature elongation.

Please don't take this as negative. I could be wrong.

On your posts you have a Bible verse listed. I would suggest you have the actual verse too. IMHO the folks that need to hear the Word don't always have a Bible handy.

Thanks for the suggestion, good point and so well taken. Truthfully, I just use my email signature in closing a post. Subsequently, I may need to elongate it, maybe all the way 'round. The LORD is the one who keeps the records, just trying to do what I can, to get His word to the world and conduct myself right in the process.

I understand you may not have seen it, but I was explaining why it was done and you posting here it was necessary to mention.

Sharing a private message from another user is also a Terms of Service violation. Especially if they did not give permission to make it public...

Unless you remove your scripture quotes from your signature, you will have your posting access revoked.

And, as another moderator who is openly a Catholic and a believer, I agree with Lance's actions and explanation. This site is not a bible school and it's inappropriate to make repeated posts with limited content and large amounts of proselytizing.
 
This site has been a big time help to this LPFM broadcaster. I still learn so much from it. Yes I'm a saved Presbyterian (PCA) too but when I need to hear from the Bible, I let my copies of the Word, various books I own and the radio broadcast take care of that need. As I mediate, through these resources, I let God tell me what I need to learn. Trying to learn more about radio and the going ons, as I read from this site. Since everyone knows me and what I stand for and how to check me out, I see no need to put a signature on here any longer. Want this experience to about sharing my thoughts about radio, how it continues to impact me and let people know what's going on in my market and with this radio station.

Firstly, Lance, I'm sorry for violating the Terms of Service, by quoting a Conversation. My only desire in doing so, was to explain the reasoning behind the elongation of my signature. Secondly, here is the definition of proselytizing.

If I was trying to proselytize, I would be beating folk over the head with invitations to my church, telling them why they should leave there's and come to mine, etc, not just quoting a Bible passage. If my position offends you, it's on you. If my disposition offends you, it's on me.

Josh, there is no need to define proselytizing and no need to talk about why you put Bible verses in all your posts. The fact is that this is not "on topic" in a radio forum.

I am suggesting to Lance that you be banned if you can't follow the rules

On this board software (XenForo) the warning would appear under Alerts, which is the little bell symbol on top of the page. At least on another board using the same platform as here that I help at.
