@fybush was recently telling me that when a license is listed as DD such as this in LMS, it means it has been reactivated following a cancellation. I'm writing a blurb today about one in New York state that was surrendered in September, restored after the government shutdown in November and sold this week. It's gone for sure, but clearly there is a lot of miscommunication or disfunction at Townsquare.
I did just turn on the stream and "Fun 94-7" is indeed still going strong. How? Is anyone in Lufkin-Nacogdoches... is it still on the air too as a pirate?
The Public File is also still up. If you look in the Issues and Programs List folder they have Q1 for 2025 only and then a "Note_to_File_Silent_Station" uploaded on April 10th 2025 which states:
"Townsquare License, LLCCommunity of License – Wells, Texas Effective 3/9/2025, radio station KVLL-FM, Facility ID 68130, is licensed but silent."
Interestingly, Townsquare filed to cancel the entire facility more than two weeks before that on March 25th, 2025 which was granted by the FCC two days later on the 27th.
I don't know how to square all this...
Based on the LMS, i see no application from Townsquare to restore KVLL-FM though.
