WFUV Rating for Holiday period

According to the holiday book, WFUV's rating was listed as N/A. I assume that means less than 0.1. Has their listenership dropped significantly? What is the story?

Many non-commercial stations have access to ratings, and therefore show up in Nielsen's public releases, via a third party organization which subscribes (Radio Research Consortium). Demographic and daypart data can still be useful, even to non-comms.

In this case, WFUV did not subscribe in the Holiday book.

I often wonder why KLove occasionally shows up in the ratings.*. Is there a grant angle? I believe they are doing really well with their current listener pledge business model.

* In Atlanta they tend to do well 6+. One of these days someone will do CCM on a commercial station.* IMHO there is a significant part of CCM listenership who would rather see their donations go to their local churches and charities. The advertisers kept the Fish "free" from the "fundraising" KLove does.

* If the third FM adjacent protections go away there will be another move in or two of almost market covering FM signals. The third adjacent protection really doesn't exist anymore with the translators.

The Fish proved that in certain markets, CCM is viable as a commercial format. Unfortunately Salem had financial issues that had to be addressed, so they sold their Fish stations.
I still think Salem should have thru Bankruptcy. They still haven't had the rosey results they are supposed to have had when they sold their Fish stations. I believe they are quietly having another round of layoffs of local on air talent. Bankruptcy would have allowed shareholders who bought it several years ago a good tax right off. I hate to say this but the long time shareholders will never get a big payout.
