Reno/Carson City 1270 KBZZ

I'm sure it's related to the big storms that occurred. The transmitter site is on a hill that's hard to access when it snows during the winter. Don't expect a quick fix.
KBZZ is showing on flat ground just west of the Veterans Parkway near the Truckee River.
It looks like KBZZ is on 1230 am now I was referring to 1270 am. Not sure which one the OP is referring to. The new calls for 1270 are KZTQ.

KZTQ is operating on a STA with only ten watts, requested and granted in November to beat the "silent cancellation" policy at the FCC:
1270 was KBZZ before they were 92.5 the hog

To that, I have to say ... "who cares"? None of that really relates to your original question or the reply.
There are all kinds of reasons why stations swap facilities. It's nothing really remarkable, but the current situation with their engineering problems is, if you read the linked document earlier.
Which becomes apparent when you go back through the chain of STA requests. The one that really stands out is from 2024, as cleanup from a mouse infestation continued:
The mice were “evicted”, but there are now rattlesnakes living in the transmitter which need to be removed.
And if you think you have problems...!

And the owners don't know what they are doing, and also need to be evicted?
