Podcasts Exceed AM/FM

For the first time, podcast listening is greater than spoken word on AM/FM, according to Edison Research

Now you know why radio companies and talk talent are so interested in podcasting.
That's true. But the Boomers (majority audience of AM Talk) are still pretty wired for linear programming. I can imagine how baffling getting a podcast must feel to an average, low-tech informed 70-80 year old (my daughters know my TV better than I do and I'm 57.) So I would imagine the benefits of podcasting are going to be kinda limited for that end.

The podcast market is not after 70-80 year olds. To be fair neither is the radio market.
