Do you remember listening to Radio Disney?

I was 28 when Radio Disney bought Seattle based would be rival KidStar 1250 KKDZ. So I can't say I grew up with it. (I DID grow up with 1250's predecessor, KKFX "K-Fox 1250, hence my avatar) But it was a reasonable CHR substitute for those times you're driving a cheap-arse 1990s company van with an AM only radio (digital frequency display. But AM only. Tightwads.) If you didn't mind Britney Spears back to back to Donald Duck's cover of "Stayin' Alive".

It filled a few nic

I remember KidStar Very Well. I was a Kid at the time and used to listen to that station

Yep! I was a 2000’s kid. Ironically, I had a strong dislike of new pop music throughout my entire childhood, and did many of my friends. We were exposed to radio Disney while riding the bus in elementary school (on KKDZ 1250 in Seattle). I don’t remember a lot about the programming, unfortunately. I do remember that my friends and I also made fun of the fact that radio Disney was on a weak station in the Seattle area, and we thought it was funny that it barely came in. So even at the age of 9 I was still interested in radio lol. As I recall, the only times we listened to radio Disney is when we had a substitute bus driver. Our main driver listened to country music on 94.1 KMPS and 99.3 KAYO, which instilled an appreciation for 90’s/2000’s country in all of us.

At one point my school district tried some sort of satellite fed radio format called “bus radio.” Does anyone remember that?

My school bus driver used to put on our local Hot AC station, WXLO. I remember he'd sing along to "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)" by O.A.R., but instead sing "Turn the bus around"
