The NFL has proposed a new deal for CBS that would basically double its current rights fee, but extend it to 2034.

My sense is they have streaming companies who will pay anything to get the Sunday package. This comes as the FCC is investigating sports rights.

The current deal covers them until 2030. If they agree to the new deal, the higher fee would take effect next season.
