Actor Chuck Norris dead at 86

Sad way to start the weekend. I knew he was up there in age. Lived a very long life...a legend never to be forgotten. Loved by millions around the world young and old. Walker was a great show and his movies need no explanation. Not to mention the Total Gym infomercials.
He was an outspoken Christian. Welcome to Heaven, my friend. Eternal life, no more pain. RIP

I have dedicated screen in my engineering office with KUSE-LD 46.1 on it. I don't do any work for KUSE, but that transmitter and antenna are in the same building and tower that our station broadcasts from so I thought it might be a good idea to keep an eye on KUSE and the other stations at the site we broadcast from.
KUSE 46.1 has been carrying "Great." AKA "Get." for the past few months and "Great." leans heavily on Walker, Texas Ranger. This morning 46.1 has been switched to "True Crimz" and I wonder if it is because Chuck Norris died although that doesn't make a lot of sense. Perhaps it's just more HC2 random channel carriage nonsense. Still, it feels odd now that I know of Norris' passing.

This one hits home. My childhood was full of Walker, Texas Ranger reruns on tv. I later branched into his wide collection of movies as well. He was easily one of my favorite actors of all time! I’ll have to watch some Walker, Texas Ranger again now that this news has dropped.

Sad I always thought If there was anyone who could kick the grim reaper in the a**, it would be Chuck Norris. A friend just sent me a meme of Norris with a " fist beard". Funny.

R.I.P, and which retro channel is showing Texas Ranger reruns?

Heroes and Icons. They run a marathon of "Walker, Texas Ranger" on Sunday afternoons, as well as one episode early in the morning M-F. They also have the rights to the rebooted "Walker".

I never realized how bad Walker was until Conan started this bit. Looking back that show was campy.
It was so much better than the show that aired one hour after it during the original run on CBS, "Martial Law." "Martial Law" followed the same formula, but set in Los Angeles, and with worse writing.

It was one of the best shows ever. Cheesy, yes, but still one of the best. After I finished Walker, Texas Ranger, I moved onto "Braddock: Missing in Action." I recommend that movie series for anyone who ever wanted to watch Chuck Norris take down an entire army single handedly.

I loved watching the show with my grandma, she would always laugh when Chuck would show up and some of the bad guys would just start running away rather than sticking around to get a roundhose kick in the stomach!

That sounds awful.
Jared Padalecki was a big star and they made him Walker, and he wasn't very good. I enjoyed the family stories. The cop stories were pretty good but mainly because of the other Rangers. Walker's partner was always a beautiful but tough female.

It was quite popular.
