CH 124 - P.O.T.U.S. Mornings

The excellent Tim Farley came out of retirement in March 2025 to take over POTUS Mornings (M-Th) as its interim host when Laura Coates opted to focus just on her CNN evening program. Today (1/12/2026) Tim announced this is his last week and a new program (or host) is set to commence next week. I'm hoping it will be a good show/host, but sad to lose the opportunity to hear Tim and his excellent "This Day in History" pre-produced packages.

I liked Chris Cuomo when he was at CNN.

However, awhile after he was fired, I discovered him on NewsNation, and noticed that he seemed to shift rightward a bit. Not a lot, but enough that I got concerned that something happened. Perhaps he was feeling bitter about how CNN treated him at the end? I don't remember the details, but his brother Andrew – who at the time was the governor of NY and fighting off one or more assault allegations – figured prominently into his firing.

Something did happen: He got hired by a network that wants to be seen as between straddling a line between CNN and Fox News.

Even when he was on POTUS the first go round. He was in the middle and gave it to the Democrats almost as often as he gave it to the Republicans. That’s why I like him no nonsense. His was the first show I discovered on POTUS.
