Kyle & Jacky O lawyer up against each other and ARN.

So not knowing about labor laws in that neck of the woods, does she have a case? Does he? What's your read here?

Well, at first glance it was seen as a straight contract dispute. It's fair to say that ARN have been copping heat after they started their national rollout of the show in 2024, through KIIS 101.1 (Melbourne). That got them unwanted attention because they fired their highest performing breakfast team Jase & Lauren, who were nabbed by cross town rivals Nova 100. To add insult, Jase & Lauren went on to land the number 1 FM breakfast spot with the show that ARN fired. In addition to the audience deserting them, ARN was attracting attention from Mad F**king Witches, and activist group known to target program advertisers.

Word has been circulating that Jacky O's dispute was less about the show, and more about the conduct of her co-host Kyle Sanderlands, following the February 20th walkout. Court documents point toward violations of Section 340 of the (Australian) Fair Work Act, dealing with safety in the workplace. whereas Kyle's case centres around wrongful termination. Not helping Kyle's case is media reports that Jacky has documented his behaviour on numerous occasions.
