KFZO and LMN stations

It looks like the owners now want out. Couldn't find any filings, but there should be new ownership soon. The guy behind Hispanic audio content distributors Nueva Network, Costa Media, and MLC Media is believed to be buying the station group. Not sure what they would do with the AMs in Texas, but the RGV, Fresno, and Las Vegas markets could be decent for them.

Assume you are talking about Carlos Moncada, CEO of MLC Media.

There would be a few FMs that might work, though I suspect there would be spin-offs.

No idea of what they’d do with KLAT in Houston. I see religion in its future, either Relevant Radio getting a full time signal or Guadeloupe Radio using it for the Spanish feed of EWTN.

What on earth would anyone do with KFLC in DFW? Existing daytimer or bad signal looking for an upgrade?

Maybe Hope Media Group might want KFZO for Vida Unida, but it is not a good a good signal in the SE end of DFW.

is it because of the ratings that they have or is it something else?

The AMs are in markets that they have broadcast rights to sports. In San Antonio the Spurs and in Houston the Rockets. I believe they may have the Astros as well. And in Dallas the Mavericks. Always felt they could have had their own sports network that was in Texas. Talk Liga MX, NBA, NFL , etc. With the hosts of the teams doing a show on air. May be simpler to just sell them to a religious broadcaster.
