New WABC newscaster?

Anyone know who the new newscaster with a British accent is?

He's been on the air much of this weekend and he's excellent! He's serious but conversational and has a natural sense of humor without trying to sound funny like the folks over at WINS.

His name sounds like John Terik but I'm not sure about that. (WABC's website is useless.)

John Terrett.
This guy.
He’s been heard on WABC since last fall at least. Back then he would fill in for business reporter Joe Connolly. Come to think of it, haven’t heard Joe lately.
Thanks. It looks like he's only been with Red Apple since the first of the year, I guess replacing Connolly on the daily financial reports. I've never heard him on the weekends before. .

I always associate Joe Connolly with WCBS but it looks like he began the WABC financial reports sometime last year.

Now there's a new WABC weekend host:
And just like that, they’ve bumped Joe Piscopo’s “Sunday with Sinatra” show, which had occupied the 6-8 pm time slot on Sundays, to Saturday nights after Cousin Brucie, 10-midnight. Piscopo had mentioned on his show over a month ago that this move for him was coming.
The newly-opened 7-8 slot on Sunday nights will now be filled with another hour of CATS & COSBY.

Now there's a new WABC weekend host:

Fernando Mateo, a lobbyist and wanna-be politician with no broadcasting background, hosting a show? What a joke. What is he going to talk about for an hour, taxicabs and Dominican bodegas in upper Manhattan and the Bronx?

But seriously, it seems like all you have to do to get a show on WABC is to suck up to the owner. Or at least share his opinion on everything. Bonus points if you dislike the current NYC mayor and love the current president.

Is he running for mayor of New York Mills, Minnesota? I'd bet 93% of New Yorkers would vote to send him there.

It's fun to hear the delusions of petty sycophants.
