Birmingham WAPI granted to remain silent (again)

It'll be interesting to see if Cumulus retains the WAPI call sign and the call letters won't be considered part of the condition of the sale of 1070. Seems like once the sale is consummated, Cumulus could put the WAPI calls on 99.5, given WAPI-AM has been so closely tied to "Talk 99.5", at least since 2016 when WZRR changed to the talk format. If that took place, it would be full circle for 99 5, as the original station licensed for Bham's 99.5 used the WAPI-FM call sign until the mid 60s when the station was moved to 94.5. Of course, the WZRR calls would then need to be parked elsewhere if Cumulus wanted to retain those.
