Nedra Talley Ross, of The Ronettes

The New York City native was the last surviving member of the iconic 1960s pop trio. She performed alongside her cousins, sisters Veronica (Ronnie) Bennett (later Spector) and Estelle Bennett. After the Ronettes broke up, she recorded several Christian albums.

She passed on April 26 at age 80, according to a social media message posted by her daughter. Nedra's husband, former radio DJ turned Christian television personality Scott Ross, died in 2023.

Much known for their Christmas music, which remains a staple of hundreds of FM stations every season. RIP Nedra and condolences to her family and friends.

While a tangent, I remember listening to Scott Ross' program on KRIZ on Sunday mornings before American Top 40. I think he may have been one of the first to do a nationally syndicated program of contemporary Christian music. Brother John Rivers(?)' Power Line was being syndicated at the same time but his show played current secular hits with Christian messages placed between the songs. Both were Protestants, though I didn't know it at the time.

Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys once called "Be My Baby" .....the "greatest rock 'n roll song ever recorded....."!!:)
A tribute, to be sure.....
RIP....
