Finally starting to see movement from Big Buck Country busting on the scene and Classic Rock going away. Since this is a 3 month rolling period, I believe there is still one month before WROQ flipped from classic rock, but I may be wrong.

WESC was up to a 7.0, which is the highest I’ve seen that station in quite a while, and in third place - but WSSL, which Big Buck Country is more similar to, crashed to a 5.2, which is very low for them.

WROQ is at a 3.7, which is a pretty big drop, but it’s definitely gotten to WSSL. Classic rock going away has helped WMYI and WTPT is up as well.

Side note - absolutely monster ratings for WYRD-FM. An 8 share and we’re 6 months away from the midterms. B93.7 is in bad shape.
 
I always thought that 94.5 was to powerful to be wasted on formats that do not draw and audience. I had hoped His Radio would have got it because of the format but since K love has a format that can draw an audience as well I can be happy. Never gonna do better that His Radio in GSP but 24/7 music option. While RTN sister network The Joy FM goes music all daytime His Radio still stops at 2pm for a half hour of talk.

Instead of starting a new thread, thought I’d tack the latest ratings for March on here.

First full trends of country on 101.1 with all classic rock numbers flushed out - not great, but not awful considering it’s brand new during this period. It’s basically taken a lot of listeners away from WSSL which is down to a once unheard of 5.1 share. Ironically, WESC has climbed a full point in the last 3 months!

Best showing for K-Love and the 94.5 frequency I can recall. From my memory, 94.5 has never been ahead of 93.7 before.

Big drop for 98.9, but still in third place.
 
Glad to see WORD slipping. Maybe people are finally getting tired of all the political talk.

Also, despite lots of complaints about the music mix that I've seen on line, Planet seems to be doing well. I guess that's what happens when you're the only Rock game in town.

Wow - that was way back in the Unique FM WMUU “beautiful music” days under the stewardship of the Bob Jones University.

I’m rather surprised at how K-LOVE has caught on in GSP, considering the well-established WLFJ already having the CCM format under lock and key for almost 4 decades (well, there is WMIT). We weren’t able to see WLFJ’s 6+ this month, but they seem to have taken a small beating from K-LOVE.

I thought we’d see a sustained surge at WMYI too, but that seems to have been a one off.

For the first three months of 2026, WLFJ is off less than a share from last year and slightly ahead of where they were in 2024.

Interesting. I’d be curious to see if the market not having a full powered AC is pushing some of that audience to the “less preachy” K-LOVE.

April’s numbers are here. Mostly just wobbles, Jamz is at a 10 share basically, WSSL rebounds slightly, Big Buck Country is flat, 104.9 is doing even worse without football, WMYI is clearly benefitting from no classic rock station and The Planet is in the 5’s. K-LOVE holding steady with solid performance from HISRadio. Star hits a 1 share again just slightly below The Block.

Honestly the ratings are so cluttered beneath the WJMZ HD2/HD3 with the religious, sports, and Spanish stations it’s … a lot.
