Car radios for FM DX

I know the same thing happens with FM (logos being displayed on local FMs in some vehicles). Would this occur with strong E-skip signals as well, if the RDS shows up? Or again, just geographical to where I live?

The radio in my old Honda Accord died a long time ago. My solution is to use a Techsun battery powered radio in the seat next to me. I've never been able to DX anything with it, but reception is shockingly good on the FM band. I can listen to distant stations with no problems whatsoever. AM is great for DXing, but only if you get out of the car lol

My Hyundai car radio has a database of station logos, and it uses the RDS PI code to decide which logo to show. If the RDS comes in, the logo will appear, but it's not being broadcast, it's just being retrieved from a database inside the radio. If a station changes name or logo, it's outdated until Hyundai send an update, and if a station is new it'll display nothing (we just got a new local station and nothing shows). It'll also occasionally display a wrong logo if a PI code is reused.
