104.3 The Score earns Winter Book Ratings Success

Look for the AM to switch to something else, especially if it sounds like Fadey KA 30 miles away from Des Plaines. This has happened to many newer AM FM simulcasts recently.

The "Winter Book" was partially 670 The Score since 104.3 tuned to simulcast the Score on February 2nd. So, thinking the move to FM for good book performance is somewhat over blown.

The last I checked the legacy 670 AM transmitter site on Army trail Road is still on the air. The move to the 1160 AM Des Plaines site appears to be taking longer than originally expected. Was the Army Trail Road site actually ever sold yet? Is the status of WLEY 107.9 and it's parent's bankruptcy filing effecting Audacy's sale of the Army Trail Road site? It appears that WLEY still has not filed for a new construction permit for a new transmitting site.

WYLL 1160 appears to be operating from their night site during the day for the last couple of weeks but, that was happening last summer in 2025 as well.

What do you mean by "winter book"? There is no seasonal book in any PPM market... just 13 individual and separate full 4 week books.

"Winter Book" is what is in the title of the tread and the referenced article which I did not post. I did not come up with the term. The numbers in question are a combination of 670 the Score solely and a simulcast pair of 104.3 and 670 The Score.

I apologize for laying the blame for attributing the latest ratings to a survey period that has not existed for 27 years. The PPM markets have discrete individual four week measurement periods, and they are not issued by Nielsen in any combined form covering greater periods of time.

Interestingly, in the Nielsen software, you can create any survey period you want, ranging from a few days to multiple months. One of the interesting things that is very easy to do is to compare weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with weekdays.
