While there were, to my mind anyway, some odd things about these schedules, probably the oddest for me was the placement of the Kukla, Fran and Ollie show between two programs aimed at adults. None of the public TV stations I used to watch/listen to in the late 1960s/early 1970s (KCET-28 in Los Angeles, CA; KAET-8 in Phoenix, AZ; and KUAT-6 in Tucson, AZ) ever did that. All of them placed all of the children's shows in a two- or three-hour time block and then kept the remaining time available for programming aimed at adults.
