The Weather Channel leaves SiriusXM, Fox Weather to replace it.

according to Lance Ventra's Radio Insight, The Weather Channel is leaving Satellite Radio and will be replaced by Fox Weather.

this might be a big blow to the long time weather network as the newer weather network owned by Fox is taking it's place, i wouldn't be surprised if The Weather Channel is moving to iHeartRadio, Audacy or TuneIn or going to the podcast market or is shutting down their radio network focusing on TV only.

Kinda seemed like it was never on. We had a tornado warning in the county where I work a few months back and it was on its usual “We’ll break in….” message. Thankfully my AM news talker actually had pretty good local coverage of the storm.

It only seemed to go into full-service mode when a storm would threaten the East Coast. Tornado outbreaks or blizzards in "flyover country" weren't really on SXM's radar, so to speak. Speculation in XMFan and other forums past and present was that SXM's brass and their Wall Street buddies all lived in places like Scarsdale or the Hamptons and that they were the listeners who had to be catered to.
