Now this is more like what I remember watching (or listening to in my case) on Los Angeles television in 1972, specifically the children's fare during morning and afternoon drivetimes. Note that, like the KTLA schedule posted yesterday, KCOP-13 was having problems finding programming. "Gomer Pyle," was broadcast three times a day and "Get Smart," and "Adam-12," were broadcast twice. Also, I was surprised to read that "The Rookies," was a half-hour show. Going via my memory of 1976 ABC shows in Tucson (where I attended the state boarding school for the deaf and blind), "The Rookies," ran for a full hour, and I have to wonder if the show was edited for syndication.

I have a decent sized collection of TV Guides and I can confirm that, based on what I've seen, "The Rookies" generally aired in syndication as a one-hour program. This is the first time I've seen it listed as a half-hour program.
